All-on-Four (All-on-4) in Diamond Bar: A Fixed Alternative to Full Dentures?
For many people who need a whole row of teeth replaced, All-on-4 is a real alternative to traditional dentures. Four implants are placed in the jaw, and a full set of replacement teeth is attached to them, so the teeth are fixed in place instead of resting on the gums.
Whether it is right for you depends on an exam, and above all on how much bone you have. At Diamond Bar Dental Studio, Dr. Cho or Dr. Jeon can look at your situation and talk through the options with you.
What is All-on-4, and how is it different from full dentures?
All-on-4 replaces an entire row of teeth. Your surgeon places four implants into the upper or lower jaw, and these act as anchors for the replacement teeth. You can have the top row done, the bottom row, or both.
Traditional dentures tend to shift or come loose easily, which can make eating and talking awkward. Because All-on-4 uses the same idea as a dental implant, the new teeth attach to posts in the jaw rather than relying on suction or adhesive. Implants fuse with the bone, which is what gives them their stability.
If you are comparing the main options for missing teeth, our implant types comparison puts them side by side.
Who is All-on-4 right for?
The main requirement is enough bone. Your jaw has to be able to hold the implants and fuse with them. If there is not enough bone, an implant may not integrate properly, and the treatment can fail.
That is why the first step is an exam where the doctor checks how much bone you have. If it is limited, you can often have a bone graft first, then move on to implants. Read more on bone grafting.
Other options exist too:
- Implant-supported removable denture: several implants are joined by a metal bar, and clips on the underside of the denture snap onto it. It is more stable than a regular denture because it rests largely on the bar instead of the gums.
- Fewer missing teeth: when only some teeth are gone, two or three implants can support a fixed bridge.
A consultation is where the doctor decides which of these fits your mouth and your goals.
How we approach it at Diamond Bar Dental Studio
Implant treatment here is a two-part process. Dr. Cho or Dr. Jeon surgically places the titanium implants in the jawbone, and then the implants need time, from six weeks to several months, to integrate with the bone. Your own timeline will depend on your case, so ask about it at your visit. Our treatment process page explains the usual steps.
The number of implants and the type of replacement teeth are planned together, because implants do not respond to forces the way natural teeth do.
A few things you may want to know about the team and the office:
- Dr. Jeon completed a course on implant therapy in complex and full-arch cases.
- We use iTero intraoral scans and digital X-rays to get a detailed picture of your teeth and jaw.
- If dental visits make you anxious, we offer anesthesia and sedation.
You can read about our dentists and what to expect afterward in risks and aftercare.
What does All-on-4 cost, and does insurance help?
We cannot give a number without examining you, because the cost depends on how many implants you need, what kind of replacement teeth go on top, and whether a bone graft is needed first. Our cost page explains these parts.
We accept all PPO insurance. How much a plan contributes toward implants varies by plan, so please check your benefits and our insurance page, or ask our team when you call.
Ready to find out if All-on-4 fits your mouth?
The best way to know is to be examined. A consultation lets the doctor look at your bone and teeth and talk through full dentures, implant-supported dentures and All-on-4 in your own context.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can All-on-4 be done on just the upper or lower teeth?+
Yes. It can be done for the top row of teeth, the bottom row, or both. Your exam will help decide what makes sense for you.
What if I don't have enough bone for All-on-4?+
Enough bone is the main requirement. If you do not have enough, a bone graft can often be done first. The doctor checks your available bone during the exam and advises you.
Is an implant-supported denture different from All-on-4?+
Yes. With an implant-supported removable denture, several implants are linked by a metal bar and clips on the denture snap onto it. With All-on-4, the replacement teeth are attached to four implants.
