Dental Implants Near Hacienda Heights, CA
If you live in Hacienda Heights and are looking into dental implants, our Diamond Bar office is a short drive east on CA-60. It is about 11.3 miles and roughly 16 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
The main thing to plan around is time. Implants are done in stages, and some people need a bone graft first. Here is what that means for how often you will make the trip and how long treatment can take.
Driving from Hacienda Heights to our Diamond Bar office
From Hacienda Heights, take CA-60 E. The drive is about 16 minutes and 11.3 miles, though traffic can change that. In a straight line the distance is only 9.6 miles.
Our office is at 646 N Diamond Bar Blvd, Diamond Bar, CA 91765. For directions and booking details, see consultation and directions.
Because implant care has several stages, a short drive makes the follow-up appointments easier to fit around work and family.
Do you need a bone graft before an implant?
An implant needs enough jawbone to hold it. If there is not enough bone, the implant may not integrate properly and the treatment can fail. For that reason, the first thing to check is how much bone you have.
Dr. Cho or Dr. Jeon will assess your available bone at your exam and decide whether a graft makes sense. If it does, they go over the types of graft material with you:
- Autograft: your own bone, from the hip or the back of the jaw
- Allograft: bone from a human donor
- Xenograft: animal bone, usually from a cow
- Alloplast: synthetic material
They will explain the pros and cons of each. Read more on our bone graft page.
How long does implant treatment take?
Implants are a two-part process. Dr. Cho or Dr. Jeon surgically places a titanium root in the jawbone. A small healing cap keeps gum tissue from growing over the implant.
Then the implant needs time to fuse with the bone. That takes six weeks to several months, and each person heals differently.
If you need a graft first, add that healing time. Recovery from a bone graft usually takes about two to four months, and the bone is generally fully integrated around the four-month mark.
So the total timeline depends on whether you need a graft, how many implants you need, and what will be placed on top of them. We plan the number of implants together with the type of restoration. For a step-by-step outline, see treatment process and timeline.
Planning your visits from Hacienda Heights
We are open Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday, so plan weekday visits, and Friday afternoons are not available.
Your first visit is where your plan takes shape. We check your bone, talk through options like a single implant, several implants, or All-on-4, and map out how many appointments to expect. If you feel anxious about surgery, we offer sedation options, and you can ask about them at your consultation.
We accept all PPO insurance. How a plan applies to implants is something we can go over with you; see insurance for implants and cost factors.
