PPO Dental Implants in Diamond Bar: Does Insurance Cover Them?
Diamond Bar Dental Studio lists "All PPO Insurance Accepted." So if you have a PPO plan, you can book here.
Whether insurance covers dental implants, and how much of the bill that would be, depends on your own plan. We don't publish coverage percentages or out-of-pocket amounts, because they differ from plan to plan. This page explains what we can say, what drives your cost, and how to get a clear answer for your situation.
Do you take PPO insurance for implants?
The practice accepts all PPO insurance. That is the part we can state plainly.
What we can't say for you is whether your PPO covers implant treatment. Many dental plans treat implants differently from fillings or cleanings. The only way to know is to read your plan details or ask your insurer.
Implants are placed by Dr. Cho or Dr. Jeon. You can read about them on our doctors page.
Does insurance cover dental implants? What to ask your plan
Before your visit, it helps to call the number on your insurance card. Plans often differ on these points, so ask:
- Are dental implants a covered service on my plan?
- Is the crown or other tooth on top of the implant covered separately?
- Is a bone graft covered if I need one?
- Is there a waiting period, a yearly maximum, or a limit on how often a tooth can be replaced?
- Does the plan need pre-approval before treatment?
Write down the answers and bring them to your consultation. That makes it much easier to talk through your options.
What affects how much you pay
Even with the same insurance, two patients can pay very different amounts. The main reasons:
- How many implants you need. The dentist plans the number of implants carefully, together with the type of tooth replacement that goes on top.
- Whether you need a bone graft. If there isn't enough jawbone, a graft is often done first. It is a separate step. See bone grafting.
- The kind of treatment. A single tooth, several teeth and a full row of teeth (All-on-4) are different plans.
For more on how a treatment plan is built, see cost breakdown. For plan-specific questions, see the FAQ.
How to get a clear answer for your plan
Start with an exam. New patients can book the $99 new patient special. It includes a comprehensive exam, panoramic X-rays, an iTero intraoral scan, an oral cancer screening and a consultation. The offer's terms say it can't be combined with other offers, and we haven't confirmed whether it applies to implant planning.
At the visit, the dentist checks how much bone you have. That decides whether a graft is needed and what treatment fits you. Bring what your insurer told you. A consultation is where the plan and the cost estimate are discussed for your case.
The office is at 646 N Diamond Bar Blvd, Diamond Bar, CA 91765. Hours are Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We are closed on weekends. See consultation and directions or read about the process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept PPO insurance?+
Yes. Diamond Bar Dental Studio lists all PPO insurance as accepted. Accepting your plan is not the same as covering implants, so check your plan's implant benefits with your insurer.
Is the $99 new patient special only for implants?+
No. It is a new patient exam package, not an implant-only offer. It includes an exam, panoramic X-rays, an iTero scan, an oral cancer screening and a consultation. Terms apply, and it can't be combined with other offers.
Who places dental implants at your office?+
Dr. Cho or Dr. Jeon places the titanium implant in the jawbone. Dr. Jeon also performs molar implant surgery. Which treatment suits you is decided at a consultation.
